This is a new yearly membership program developed to create a body of company dancers for Flamenco Borealis. It's a wonderful opportunity to develop and grow as a a Flamenco dancer. With your membership fees and as a company dancer : 1- You have access to a more structured regimen of choreographic studies and practices. 2- You have access to beautiful performance opportunities. Depending on how many choreographies you master, you would be called upon to perform at various events throughout the year, some of which are community smaller events, and other bigger more elaborate events produced by Flamenco Borealis (Borealis Flamenco Festival, various dance productions, Flamenco tablaos, dance films, etc.). Please note that the company and artistic directors will always try to provide equal performing opportunities to all dancers; however, there will be performances where it will not be possible to include everyone or any. These instances can be driven by the nature of the show, artistic choices, venue limitation, and mastery of the program choreographies. 3- You have access to 2 hours / week of focused studio group studies and practices with the artistic director extending typically from September to end of June during a dance season (except weeks of Stat holidays, travel periods/ vacation and events). There will be an average of 30 weeks of practices or an average of 60 total hours every dance season. Schedule of studio sessions/practices would be shared with you in advance. Schedule of performances will be shared as soon as opportunities are presented. 4- You would have unlimited access to all regular Flamenco dance classes offered throughout the year (all other levels). Do you have a strong work and practice ethic, and a strong attendance level to classes? Do you have a demonstrated good level of Flamenco technique or strong potential for development? Do you have a positive attitude, are you a strong team player, and have a track record of commitment to our school and community? Do you have a minimum Flamenco dance experience of 5 years or equivalent? Do you want Flamenco to be more than just a leisurely activity and deepen your understanding and learning of this art form? If you answered yes to all these questions, and you are interested in finding out more on how to become a company dancer, don't hesitate to contact us. 2022-23 Dance Season: Nov 19 to June 26. 46 - 48 hrs of studio studies. Mondays 7-8PM. Saturdays 11:15AM-12:15PM
