TAKE MY HAND
A DANCE FILM
The intimacy of the camera combined with Flamenco art in all its intensity, can be a powerful way of transmitting emotions, energies, and visual stories.
TAKE MY HAND is our debut in the genre of dance films. Released in July of 2021, this screen work leads the spectator through a journey of introspection, loneliness, despair, and a deep need to connect with others. The film offers a glimpse of the emotional struggles of the human soul in times where many traditional social structures have been swept away, and where people from all over the world had to live prolonged periods of social distancing. The film evolves eventually into a state of restoration, joy, and beauty offering a message of hope and love. Not a narrative nor a documentary, this short art film uses movement, sound, images, places, light, colors, and symbolism to offer a romantic and poetic tale.
Gaining international recognition, the film was an official selection in multiple international film festivals. Along with a number of awards the film amassed in these festivals, more recently it collected the title of award winner for Best Art Film at the Venice Intercultural Film Festival in 2022.
